Show, don’t tell.

Showback gives a coding agent hands and a voice on your computer. It controls the real app like a person would, speaks the walkthrough out loud while it works, and talks you through its output.

BeforeWith Showback
The agent explains in text what it did. You can’t trust it, so you have to build it and click through yourself to validate. Showback goes through your screen, shows the real behavior, and narrates out loud what it did and how it works.

Watch it work

demo — browser walkthrough
Browser. It signs in on a real page, sees the welcome message, and explains the checked result.
demo — settings
Native app. It opens Showback Settings and walks the model and voice controls without changing your saved voice.
demo — document
Any output. The agent picks the surface. Here it writes the fixed output into a document, points at it, and proves the old error is absent.

How it works

1

Ask your agent

Tell your coding agent to demonstrate the change with Showback. It writes a short script for the flow.

2

Watch and listen

Showback drives the real app on your screen and speaks each step out loud while it works.

3

Keep the proof

It checks the result on screen and saves the walkthrough as an MP4 you can share.

Your agent did the work. Now it can show you, out loud, on your own screen.

Checked, not claimed

{
  "say": "I'll open the account page.",
  "actions": [{ "click": { "role": "button", "name": "Sign in" } }],
  "expect": { "text": "Welcome" },
  "absent": { "text": "404" }
}

The claim comes after the check. expect proves the intended state is present. absent proves the old error is gone.

Install

git clone https://github.com/realtonypark/showback.git
cd showback
./scripts/install.sh
showback doctor

Then start a new agent session and ask it to demonstrate a change with Showback.
